Flow / The teaching work
Prepare explanations, explore visual examples and manage eligible assignments. Use learning evidence to decide what to teach next.
Flow for teachers →Gyanis / School teachers / India
Turn a topic into a lesson outline, a visual explanation and practice at different levels. Ask in ordinary words, review the material and choose what helps your class take the next step.
Flow free tokens never expire. Student assignment access and paid human sessions have separate requirements.
“Show equivalent fractions.”
Example context: Grade 6 · Maths2 of 4 equal pieces is still one half.
Illustrative walkthrough, not a live AI response. In Flow, add your level and curriculum where needed, then review the result.
Flow helps you prepare and assign work to eligible linked students. Vibe lets approved experts teach live subject sessions. Aura offers scheduled wellbeing coaching for the teacher, too.
Your curriculum. Your teaching judgement.
Ask Flow for an objective, an opening question, a worked example, differentiated practice and a quick check. Add your class, topic and lesson length. Then shape the draft around the students in front of you.
Need something to take into class? Teacher chat can create lesson plans, worksheets and teaching documents, including PDF, Word and presentation formats. Check the content and formatting before sharing.
Use the curriculum options available in Flow and name the topic or specification you are teaching. Coverage varies by subject, level and tool. Check the current syllabus and your school’s requirements; this is not a promise of every board or textbook.
Working across boards? Check the context when switching learners. The same topic name can sit at a different level in another curriculum.
Pedagogy in ordinary words
“Show one worked example. Let the learner try the next step.”
Use a model, a guided attempt and an independent question. Decide when to remove the support.
“Keep the same objective. Add support and a challenge.”
Ask for a simpler entry point and an extension task, then check both against the learning goal.
“Turn this topic into a 5E lesson.”
Ask for Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate and Evaluate. Review the sequence, timing and materials for your setting.
“Give me three exit-ticket questions, including one misconception.”
Ask for recall, application and explanation. Use the answers to choose tomorrow’s starting point.
Start with the learner
Recognise the moment. Try a different teaching move.
The learner’s side“I copied the steps, but I couldn’t do it on my own.”
Ask the learner to explain one step before adding more questions. Use a simpler example to find where the reasoning breaks.
Show why 1/2 equals 2/4. Use a visual example, then ask the learner to explain it without copying the steps.
What to look for next: Try a different fraction and ask for the explanation first.
The learner’s side“Everyone else seemed to understand, so I didn’t ask.”
Offer a smaller, more specific question and room to try again. A worked example or live subject conversation can make the next question easier to ask.
Explain the first step of solving 2x + 3 = 11. Ask one check question before showing the next step.
What to look for next: Let the learner name the exact step they want to revisit.
The learner’s side“I keep getting this wrong and I don’t know why.”
Review the attempt, identify one misconception and change the practice. Repeating a whole worksheet may hide the same gap again.
Create three questions on adding fractions with different denominators. Include one common mistake for the learner to spot.
What to look for next: Use the next attempt to check whether the misconception changed.
Illustrative teaching situations, not learner testimonials or measured outcomes. Adapt the level and curriculum to your students.
01 / Where do you teach?
For school lessons and home tuition in India, include the board, class and teaching language. CBSE, ICSE and state-board lessons can use different sequences; check the generated material against your textbook.
02 / Prepare with Flow
A class understands the method, but several students still confuse the numerator and denominator. Prepare one explanation for everyone, then assign focused practice to the linked students who need it.
Ask Flow for a lesson outline, worked example, practice questions or a visual explanation. Follow up with “make it simpler”, “try a different example” or “add a challenge”. You decide what belongs in the lesson.
Try real Flow chat artifacts →Make an idea visible
For suitable topics, Flow can create interactive visuals and simulations. Change a value, ask learners to predict the result, then discuss what happened.
Check the assumptions and accuracy before teaching from a generated example. Not every topic or prompt produces an interactive simulation.
03 / From preparation to follow-through
Ask your institution administrator to connect your teacher account to the correct subjects, sections and students. A school name on your profile alone does not create membership.
Create a drill, mind map, study plan, practice paper or Express activity. Check the content and difficulty before assigning.
With assignment access, choose the eligible section or individual students, review the recipients and set the available due-date options. Personalisation options vary by tool.
Review submitted work and available Pulse evidence before planning the next lesson. A completion status tells you what was done; read the answers to understand what was learned.
Use individual assignments where available to respond to those differences. Where a tool offers personalised practice, review that option before sending it.
Flow supports drills, Arena papers, Express responses, GamePlans and mind maps in its teacher workflow. Student access and tool limits still apply.
See Flow teacher tools →04 / Know what you are choosing
| Teaching setting | Start here | Check before assigning |
|---|---|---|
| School teacher | Lesson preparation and practice for your subjects. | Your institution, section and student links. |
| Home tutor | Explanations and practice for one-to-one lessons. | Whether eligible institution access and linked students are enabled. |
| Tuition centre | Material adapted to different teaching batches. | Administrator setup and each teacher’s linked roster. |
05 / Privacy in everyday teaching
“A Grade 6 learner is struggling with fractions” is usually enough. A child’s full name, phone number or private family circumstances do not improve a fractions lesson.
Assignment tools use linked students and account permissions. Teacher notes are private to the authoring teacher within their permitted student context. These tools are not a public class noticeboard.
Your students’ chat conversations are not a teacher analytics feed. Teacher insights concern permitted academic activity and linked records. Gyanis processes service data as described in the privacy policy, including account and learning data.
Read the privacy policy →06 / One ecosystem, different kinds of support
Prepare explanations, explore visual examples and manage eligible assignments. Use learning evidence to decide what to teach next.
Flow for teachers →Apply to offer expert help beyond your own lessons. A learner who needs human subject support can explore available Vibe experts; sessions are arranged and priced separately.
Teaching on Vibe →Explore scheduled wellbeing coaching for your own stress, routines and boundaries. Coaching is not diagnosis, therapy or emergency care. Student use follows the applicable access and consent requirements.
Aura for teachers →Opening another product does not itself book a session or automatically forward a student’s work. Review what you choose to share and the terms shown there.
Your expertise can travel further
Vibe gives approved teachers a place to offer live subject help. Choose the topics you can teach, make your availability clear and decide which requests fit.
Review incoming subject requests and accept suitable sessions when you are available. Start with the learner’s difficulty and work through the reasoning together.
Set weekly availability, time zone and time off. Review scheduled booking requests, including series where offered, before agreeing to the work.
Describe your subjects, languages and learning outcomes. Eligible experts can configure session-pass offers and review pricing, commission and payout requirements.
Bring a lesson outline, worked example or practice task into your preparation. In the live conversation, use your judgement to find the step the learner has missed. Opening Vibe does not automatically share a learner’s Flow chat.
Expert approval is separate from a teacher account. Availability, demand and session terms determine what you can accept. School teachers should check their employer’s outside-teaching policy. Bookings and earnings are not guaranteed.
Choose for the job you need done
Lesson planning is a useful starting point. Also consider what you need after the material is ready: student practice, a human explanation or support for your own working day.
| Tool | A useful starting point | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| MagicSchool | Educator tools for planning, differentiation, assessment and communication. | Which tools, integrations and school controls are included in your plan. |
| Khan Academy / Khanmigo | Teaching resources, learner practice and teacher support within the Khan Academy ecosystem. | The subjects, teacher tools and school access available to your learners. |
| Gyanis | Flow for preparation and eligible assignments; Vibe for live subject help; Aura for scheduled wellbeing coaching. | Institution and roster access for assignments, expert approval on Vibe, and separate session costs. |
These are different starting points, not a claim that other products lack a feature. Check the current product and privacy terms before choosing.
07 / Clear answers before you start
Yes. Teacher chat can help draft lesson plans, worksheets, rubrics, differentiation and quick checks. Ask for a worked example, a 5E lesson outline or exit-ticket questions in ordinary words. Review the pedagogy, accuracy and syllabus fit before using the draft. Teacher chat also supports document generation in PDF, Word and presentation formats.
Flow provides curriculum context across its supported markets, but coverage varies by board, subject, level and tool. Use the available curriculum options and specify your topic or syllabus when needed. Check the current specification and textbook; do not assume that every board, exam or lesson is covered.
Gyanis connects the ecosystem. Flow helps with preparation, explanations, practice and eligible student assignments. Vibe connects learners with approved experts for live subject help. Aura offers scheduled wellbeing coaching, including support for teachers themselves. Each product has its own access and pricing conditions.
No. Start with the topic, learner level and the task you want. For example: Explain equivalent fractions for Grade 6 with a visual example. Add the curriculum, language or a learning gap when it matters, then review and refine the response.
No. In-app assignments require eligible institution access and linked students. Independent tutors can prepare explanations and practice, but should check their account’s assignment access before expecting a roster or sending work.
Keep names, contact details and sensitive personal information out of lesson prompts when they are not needed. Student assignment tools use linked rosters and account permissions. Teacher notes are private to the authoring teacher within their permitted student context. Gyanis processes service data as described in its privacy policy; private does not mean that no data is stored or processed.
Flow chat supports interactive learning visuals and simulations for suitable topics. Ask for the concept you want to explore, check the generated example, and use it to discuss what changes and why. Availability and results depend on the topic and tool; every request is not guaranteed to produce a simulation.
No. Vibe has a separate expert application and verification process. Check the available subjects, session terms, commission and payout requirements during onboarding. Acceptance, bookings and earnings are not guaranteed.
Yes. Teachers can explore scheduled wellbeing coaching for their own routines, stress and work-life boundaries. Aura provides coaching, not diagnosis, therapy or emergency care. Review the coach profile, availability and booking terms before choosing a session.
No. Flow starts with a one-time allowance of free tokens that never expire, shown as free credits in the app. Eligibility and usage limits apply. Vibe expert sessions and Aura coach bookings are paid separately through Gyanis Credits (GC); Flow tokens do not pay for those sessions.
